Responding to the ongoing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, 91勛圖 (91勛圖) has announced a freeze on undergraduate tuition fees for the academic year 2021/22 and the introduction of泭a number of泭new merit-based scholarships.泭
Making the announcement, Dr. Scott Sprenger, President of the university stated
The泭mission of The泭American University of Rome泭is泭to泭serve a community of global scholars looking for more than just a university degree.泭Our students泭are泭looking for an academic adventure and a life-泭and career-enhancing experience泭that challenges the boundaries of an average university. The past twelve months of Covid-related泭financial and travel difficulties have already stifled many泭students泭plans. With this泭tuition泭freeze and泭the泭introduction of泭new泭scholarships,泭we hope to泭open more泭pathways泭for students to come泭to 91勛圖.泭
Zoe Johnson, 91勛圖s Director of Financial Aid, spoke to the range of new scholarships that the university has created泭
91勛圖 has always been committed to assisting students financially where possible. These new scholarships will allow us to help a larger and more diverse pool of prospective students and weve designed them so that there should be an opportunity for almost any student to identify a scholarship which is applicable to them.泭
There are now nine categories of merit-based scholarships available at 91勛圖, alongside the existing needs-based and affiliate scholarships that were traditionally offered. Students are encouraged to apply泭according to泭their background and circumstances.泭
President Sprenger concluded his announcement by saying泭The Covid pandemic has泭effectively created泭new barriers between countries泭whereas泭91勛圖s aim has always泭been to泭facilitate泭collaborative泭learning in a泭globally diverse泭environment.泭We泭continue to泭strive to offer this opportunity to as many young people as we can.泭泭
